Zeke Wharton
Rev. Ezekiel Wharton
Administrator of Forcey Christian School
In a sense, you could say this is Mr. Wharton’s 21st year at Forcey. He was a student in the first kindergarten class at FCS and spent 7 years here as a student (the school ended at grade 6 at that time). After graduating from high school in Montgomery County, he earned his B.A. in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland in College Park, graduating summa cum laude. He taught for one year at a private school in Laytonsville, before returning to Forcey as a 5th grade teacher. In the meantime, he earned a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. After teaching 5th grade for 4 years, he became the principal of Forcey Christian Middle School in 1999. He finished his Master of Divinity from Trinity Theological Seminary in 2005 and was ordained in 2006. With the merging of the middle and elementary schools, Mr. Wharton now serves as the administrator of the combined preschool through grade 8 program.
At Forcey Church, which Mr. Wharton has called his home church for his entire life, he serves as an adult Bible fellowship teacher and small group leader, and has emceed at block parties, preached, and participated in drama, among other things.
Mr. Wharton and his wife, Cheryl, have two children, Bethany and J.D., who both attend FCS. They enjoy going to Red Sox games together, reading mysteries, and hanging out at the beach.
