Battalion 555 Home Page

Battalion - Provides our young men training and opportunity for leadership with an emphasis on evangelism and discipleship utilizing team building, outdoor activities and weekly meetings. "For every physical lesson, there is a parallel spiritual truth." (Capt. Mark A. Bos) We meet every Thursday Night at Forcey Memorial Church in Silver Spring, MD at 7pm.

Battalion is a Christ-centered discipleship program designed to build young men into leaders for Christ. This year we have focused on two major themes - Achievements and Character. Want more info? See contact page.

Battalion's Schedule:

Registration is Thursday September 10th -- also our first night of the year. We'll post the registration form soon.

Regular meeting EVERY Thursday from 9/10/09-6/10/10 (except Thanksgiving & Christmas Eve);

Battalion will follow the official Forcey policy regarding weather events.  If Montgomery County Public Schools are closed than the building will be closed thus Battalion will not meet.  Yes this is a departure from the past HOWEVER now there is solid policy.

Regular leaders meetings (aka LTM) are the third Monday starting in September and ending May 2010 (no meeting in February) from 7-9pm.

PARENTAL NOTE:  The official start time is 7pm and the official program close is at 9pm; HOWEVER most of the guys like playing games as late as you will let them so don't feel obligated to come at 9pm (historically we don't end on time anyhow). 

PARENTAL NOTE TO NON-COM Parents: Your son will need to be at Battalion until approx 9:30pm for a post-meeting "huddle".
