English as a Second Language

Forcey ESL: Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00 p.m., starting September 28!

Introduction

Welcome to Forcey ESL!

We started Forcey ESL to help people in our community learn to speak English better!

We know that it can be difficult and scary to learn to speak English. So we are here as friends to help you!

We at Forcey ESL are evangelical Christians, and we do talk about Jesus in class. But you do not have to be a Christian to come to class. The classes are open to all people and we respect the different faiths and backgrounds of our students.

Registration

Students must register for class. There will be registration for Fall 2010 classes on Tuesday, September 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 224. All students are encouraged to come and register then!

Fall 2010 classes will begin with registration on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Classes will be held on every Tuesday (except Thanksgiving week) through December 14, 2010.

Classes take place from 7:30-9:00 p.m.

We are located on the 2nd floor in the Forcey Christian Middle School building.

Materials

We use the "Side by Side" curriculum, which is currently the best-selling English as a Second Language Curriculum. We have different levels of books for our classes.

Students can purchase a book if they make a commitment to coming to each class.

Otherwise, students can use a book during class, but Forcey will keep the book at the church.

What You Will Learn

Forcey ESL is here to help you improve your English speaking. You will learn new words, how to form correct sentences, and how to pronounce English better.

We do not give certificates or diplomas. We are simply friends who can help you to improve your English.

Contact

The administrator of Forcey ESL is Mark Zimmerman. You can send him an email at markazimmerman1@gmail.com.
