Mr. Roussey
Mr. Ken Roussey has been elementary principal of FCS for 20 years. Prior to his coming to the school, Mrs. Diane Taylor served as principal for 12 years. Mr. Roussey is a member of Forcey Memorial Church where he has served as an elder, taught Sunday School, led shepherding groups, served on various committees, and helped establish Forcey Christian Middle School. He also spoke from the pulpit on a few occasions.Mr. Roussey’s academic background includes B.A., M. Div., and M. Ed. degrees. He did additional graduate study at Westminster Theological Seminary. Some of Mr. Roussey’s prior experiences include the following: US Army Chaplain (3 years), teacher in Coatesville Area Schools in PA (five years); pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Coatesville, PA (ten years), and headmaster of Calvary Christian School (six years). Mr. Roussey has a Certificate in Biblical Counseling from Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation and has done many hours of Christian counseling.
Mr. Roussey believes his varied background prepared him for his current role at FCS. He enjoys being an integral part of a Christian school ministry that holds high academic standards, extends compassion and support to students with special needs, and strives to teach academic subjects from a Christian perspective. Mr. Roussey’s greatest thrill is working with others in leading children to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and in discipling them in their spiritual journey. He enjoys working with a dedicated school board and feels privileged to be surrounded with a talented staff that loves children.
When Forcey Christian School merged with Forcey Christian Middle School in July of 2008, Mr. Ezekiel Wharton became the school’s administrator. Mr. Roussey is the school’s elementary principal.
Mr. Roussey and his wife, Lynn, have a son, Tom, who is a television reporter in Charlotte, NC, a daughter, Kelly, married to Brian Haney, and one grandchild, Jordyn.
